SolarBase
SolarBase is a long-lasting foundation for solar panels. Rock Solid has developed SolarBase together with NV Afvalzorg.
This concrete-like foundation, on the basis of certified building materials, has good anchoring and foundation-technical properties. SolarBase can be applied on virtually any surface as it does not require any drilling in the surface. SolarBase, therefore, is a very suitable foundation for landfill sites where it is not possible to use anchorage by means of posts as this would damage the upper seal construction.
It is possible to place solar panels close to the ground with SolarBase. This means that there are lower risks as far as wind load is concerned. Cutting is no longer required, and erosion problems or risks of slope failure of slopes, sound barriers and embankments are mitigated. Moreover, SolarBase is suitable to be used a second time as a foundation or for any other means.
